Retaining walls and level, usable ground

Most people do not want a wall. They want the flat ground on either side of it.

Segmental block and natural stone retaining walls, sit walls, stone columns and stone steps. We look first at where water is moving across the site, because a wall that dams a slope without draining it is a wall that will lean, then bulge, then fail.

Drainage designed in, not added on

Free-draining backfill, filter fabric and drain pipe daylighting to somewhere sensible, all installed as the wall goes up. It is the part nobody ever sees and the part that decides how long the wall lasts.

What you get back

A level lawn instead of a bank. A flat pad for a playset. A terrace where the ground used to fall away. The wall is the means; the usable ground is the result.
