Grass Roots Landscaping is a family-owned landscape design and construction company that has served Apex and the surrounding Triangle since the mid-1990s. Owner Glenn Maass is a horticulturist, and he and his staff treat every landscape with the same care and attention to detail, from concept to care.

We get the base right before anything goes on top
Nearly every patio, wall and lawn that fails around here fails underground: a base that was never compacted, water with nowhere to go, Carolina clay that was worked wet. We spend the time on excavation, grading and drainage, which is the part nobody ever sees and the part that decides how long the finished work lasts.

Why Grass Roots
Hardscape, planting, lighting and drainage are all handled by the same team, so nothing gets lost between trades and the levels actually line up. Glenn is on site, not behind an answering service.
Bigger projects start with 3-D digital imaging, so you can see the finished space and change your mind while changing it is still free.
