Lawns, sod and artificial grass

Sod is the easy part. Everything that happens before the first roll goes down is the job.

We strip what is failing, correct the grade so water leaves the lawn instead of pooling in it, amend and till the soil, then lay fresh sod and water it in. For shaded corners, dog runs and slopes where grass has never worked, artificial grass over a compacted, free-draining base is often the more honest answer.

Fescue, warm-season turf or artificial all behave differently in Triangle sun and clay. We pick based on the light, drainage and traffic your yard actually has, and tell you plainly when the lawn you want is not the lawn that will survive there.

Beds and edges finished at the same time

Trees, shrubs, mulch, pine straw, stone mulch and clean edging go in alongside the turf, so the lawn has a defined border to grow up to rather than bleeding into the beds.
